\nThe motor was purchased from a North Ft. Myers boat mechanic and installed 3 years ago.
\n
\nWe have never had to use SeaTow.
\n
\nLast year I had the lower unit redone. I bought all new stainless steel parts. Between - just for parts. I have all the receipts. I watched the guy do it and pressure test @ Matty’s Marine. So it's all done, but reverse is not currently working.
\n
\nThe guy was moving to Dominican Republic or similar and we did not have time to coordinate the fix before we went up north. The parts in there were old and worn. At the same time I added a new prop and a whale tail. The whale tale is oversized. After the switch out, it would not go in reverse. I called the manufacturer and he told me that it is common, and send instructions on how to do it correctly. I was going to drop the lower unit and take it to a guy that only works on lower units. Expected a couple hundred. I can help take off with the new boat sitting under it on the lift if needed.

\nNew cables last year. We took it out for 5-6 hours trolling around to past Hancock island on our last trip out without issue (from beach Walmart area). I did not have time to fine tune the cable adjustments, but I believe it needs it. Before the new cables / whale tale it had perfect acceleration, etc… So it is just an adjustment. Whale tail is oversized and needs removed. I can do that.

\nAt the same time the impeller was replaced, and the plugs and oil change. Has good water flow.
\n
\nI always flush it, have a hose right on the dock.
\n
\nThings I have replaced that I can remember prior to the lower unit work:
\n
\nStator and voltage regulator and flywheel – Stopped charging battery
\nAll fuel filter
\nNew gas can and fuel lines – Was getting air somewhere. Solved problem.
\nI have the maintenance manual
\nThermostat – troubleshooting and issue solved from above
\nHigh pressure fuel pump – troubleshooting an issue solved from above
\nCan’t remember what else but we did get it running great.
\nShould be a strong engine for some time.

\nThe boat itself is beaten up from storms. It needs a new deck and rails, unless you want to uses it as is as we did. We spent a lot of time on the water day and night with this. The wiring is rigged to run off 12 v under the console, I have 3 m12 batteries. 1 for lights, 1 for depth finder and 1 for the flood light in front. I might transfer that to the new boat. FYI.

\nWould consider trade for services (drywall, siding, flooring, mini split installations, possible running some remaining electrical and plumbing / vent fans needed)
