{"id":903154,"source_id":67,"location":"Delaware, DE","address":"","latitude":"39.5133","longitude":"-75.8406","uid":"l2oxq5","orig_id":"7797798495","slug":"1989-Pacific-Seacraft-31-Sloop-Cutter-Sailboat-89-l2oxq5","title":"1989 Pacific Seacraft 31 Sloop / Cutter Sailboat ‘89","text":"Selling my PSC31 due to relocation to the left coast to be near family.<br>\nMy second of these, same year but this one is the shallow draft (4’) scheel keel.  She was languishing on the hard so I took her on.  Installed a rebuilt Yanmar 3GM30.  New bottom with 4 coats of Interprotect.  Dropped the rudder and replaced bushings, cutlass, log tube and installed a 3 blade Michigan prop to replace the old two blade.<br>\nLots of areas had been ignored so lots of hours and parts have been invested.  New water heater, electric fuel pump, repiped the shower drain and installed a new pump for that.  Replaced the old Datamarine gauges with Furuno including the transducers.  The old Standard Horizon chartplotter got a new screen and card giving it life for a few more years.<br>\nThe standing rigging was replaced by the previous owner and was inspected two years ago while I was having a new LED tri-color mounted on the mast.  New wiring was pulled from the masthead when the sending units were installed with the exception of the foredeck light, which of course has stopped working.  Not sure when I might get up there to fix that item.<br>\nThe hull is good thanks to fine factory gelcoat.  The deck is less so thanks apparently to an over exuberant buffing wheel that cut thru some of the gel coat.  There are also some cracks at the aft lazzaret that need attention.<br>\nShe is a stout, stiff vessel that likes a good breeze and has served me very well as a single-handed!  The single handing package brings everything to the cockpit, minimizing trips forward.  The manual windlass is nice for anchoring and allows the 25 and 35# anchors to be launched and retrieved easily.<br>\nThe Vesper Marine (now Garmin) AIS unit gives comfort in traffic.  It’s nice to have a captain radio ‘The Legacy’ from their helm.  No radar installed but I have an old Garmin available if it’s desired.  Newish SH VHF with the remote mic unit in the cockpit.  New wheel unit for the ST4000 autopilot.  Great thing to have on board for single handing!<br>\nThe fridge hasn’t worked and is too expensive to fix.  Easier to just replace it if desired.  The old Heart Interface/Xantrex 2500 Inverter Charger has worked flawlessly with the Link 2000 monitoring the two banks (2 house/1 start).  I am waiting on the arrival of a new relay for the Eberspacher diesel heater.  The glow plug and fuel pump are in hand but if I’m going to open it up might as well go the whole 9 yards.  Haven’t used it often, but it readily makes the cabin cozy.  I am looking for the best offer and anxious to move her.  I have a house to clear out and sell and the boat is just too much at this time.  She’ll be in the water till 11/10.  After that she’ll be under her 2 year old heavy duty cover.
