This is the first AE28, designed by Carl Schummaker and custom built for Ralph Shacter in 1989. All the other 470 plus Alerions are based on this boat.  This boat was completely restored in 2015-16 by Cooley Marine in CT so the boat is virtually 7 years old, used about 5 of those years.  The hull, deck, and interior were stripped, refinished, and all the hardware replaced. There are no soft spots or wet areas. All new stays on a refinished mast, boom, and spinnaker pole. Tides Marine track for quick mainsail raises and drops. 2016 Quantum black carbon/aramid fully battened main,145 genoa and self-tacking100 jib. North spinnaker.  2015 Raymarine A95 electronics with 9” color touch screen on swing arm, i60 wind system, i50 tridata display,  tiller auto pilot. Plastimo bulkhead mounted compasses. Adjustable Forespar whisker pole for winging the genoa.  New Doyle stack-pack mainsail cover -  drop it and zip it. Original Yanmar 1GM10 diesel with Eliptec folding bronze prop.  Brightwork above and below all new Awlgrip. New Sea Hawk Biocop black bottom paint ready to splash.  House and starter batteries. Controller wired for solar panel. Thetford porta potti. Custom ladder mount with aluminum ladder. Original custom Rainbow Industries trailer with new wheels, tires, jack stands and paint. 2020 Custom Fairclough canvas cover with aluminum frame.
