The mercruser power plant is a very reliable, and has been  built by a reputable race engine builder and has 89 hrs on it.  The 454 big block has been bored 1 over and has all high performance internal parts from a chromoly crankshaft to rods, pistons, etc. the extra horsepower comes from the pro charger supercharger putting out around 5-6 lbs of boost so that I can run Sunoco Ultra in it, not racing fuel.  Motors makes between 600-650 HP.  Thru hull exhaust, 4” Stainless steel Gil exhaust, Holley 4 barrel 850 carb in pressurized box, fresh water intercooler and many other features.  The boat has only run in fresh water and has always been trailered.
