The Olson 25 was designed in 1984 by George Olson as a dry-sailable sport boat. Manufactured by Pacific Boats and Ericson Yachts, there were roughly 130 built.<br>\n<br>\nThis is our boat today. She has been stored indoors for about 10 years. Just recently put out to (this) pasture. The crew have all aged out and the boat needs a new owner. Quickly.<br>\n<br>\nThe hull, deck and rig are sound. No evidence of delamination or major damage repairs. There are 9 bags of sails, including a jenny and a 100% jib for the roller furler. I recall that we had mylar and Dacron main sails, and a ready supply of spinnakers for the downwind legs. The sails have not been inspected recently.<br>\n<br>\nYou will need a new motor. A 4 stroke 4 hp will suffice; also consider an electric out-board. The single axel trailer with new tires is adequate to move the boat from Reno to Lake Tahoe twice a year. There are no brakes on this trailer. We sailed her at Lake Tahoe (summers only) for Wednesday beer can racing, weekend club races, two funerals and one wedding. <br>\n<br>\nI would like to see this sailboat back in the water, rather than waiting for the nacker in this backyard.
