She just completed a 9 month, 4000-mile voyage around the west coast of Mexico. She is fully decked out for cruising with new lithium batteries, hot pressure water, extra refrigeration, and a BRAND NEW 40 gallon per hour water maker. The Out Island 41 is perhaps the most iconic and sought after cruising boat of all time, with over 1,450 built from 1971 to 1991. The vessel is currently located in a LIVEABOARD APPROVED slip in Ensenada, MX only 2 hours south of San Diego. She is perfectly positioned as weekend getaway, or for cruising to Mexico or cross the Pacific to SE Asia.

\nWith three enormous berths and two full heads, her interior is one of the most spacious of 41 footers ever made. She has a full keel, fully protected rudder and propeller, and a fiberglass encapsulated lead ballast (no keel bolts). Her hull is solid fiberglass, over 1” thick in many places.

\nShe has a brand-new canvas throughout. New dodger, new sail cover, and new cushions below. She has had her interior refurbished with new custom cedar trim and laminate flooring. This boat has just completed a major refit and almost every system has been updated.

\nThe Perkins 4-108 engine is in need of a rebuild or replacement, which is reflected in SV Kitabu's below market . The marina where she is docked has a haul out and full service boat yard so doing a rebuild or swap should be no problem. The marina staff speak English.
